Skinks & Patience

Okay, so your probably thinking how in the heck do Skinks and patience go together? well your gonna find out.

I was playing with the camera outside to have a little fun. I was walking on the sidewalk to go to the roses and I saw this:
At first, I thought it was a snake but I saw the blue so I sat down waiting patiently we ALL know that I lack in that category, but I was determined to get a picture of that WHOLE skink because I was fascinated by its tail!

As I was sitting there it came out a little more:

Then MORE:

Then some more (At this point I was so excited I almost peed my pants!):

Then It was ALMOST all the way out:
And finally it came out I almost screamed and then I remembered that I would scare it so I didn't.

Here it is (I think it's magnificent):

I learnt being patient pays off sometimes (:

Mission Trip: Dominican Republic

God has presented me with the opportunity to go on a mission trip in a few short weeks. April 2nd I will be boarding a bus to Miami, FL, from there we will be getting on a plane and be on our way to the Dominican Republic.
We will be building 2 or 3 churches and hosting a VBS (Vacation Bible School) for the young children. This is going to take a lot of strength and courage. It will be everyone getting along and coming along side each other to let this happen. To put our differences aside and to trust God with what He is going to show us.
As you can imagine this is something that needs a lot of financial support and prayer support. Without prayer little to noting could happen. God's hands are all in this and I can feel Him moving. During the week we will be helping people materially and spiritually. On April 9th we will be on our way back from hopefully making an impact on the people's life's.

(Please look for a blog post on my trip when I return)

Thank you,
Lindsey Worley

All Things New

Like the sun Your mercy shines
A brand new day a brighter life
Jesus, Your grace restores our life
At the cross the a great exchange
Your righteousness for all our shame
Jesus, Your grace restores our lives

You can make all things new
only Your power can raise us
You can make all things new
only Your love can save us

All hope is not lost
cause You make all things new

All our words and broken dreams
We lay them down at Calvary
Savior Your grace restores our lives
When we're weak you make us strong
You lift us up You lead us on
Savior Your grace restores our lives

You can make all things new
Only Your power can raise us
You can make all things new
Only Your love can save us
All hope is not lost
cause You make all things new

You give beauty for our ashes
in a hope that everlasting
The past has been redeemed
Now forever we will sing

You give beauty for our ashes
in a hope that's everlasting
The past has been redeemed
Now forever we will sing

You can make all things new
Only Your power can raise us
You can make all things new
Only Your love can save us

All hope is not lost
all hope is not lost
all hope is not lost
Cause you make all things new

God, this is my new years resolution to make all things new for You. To fall completely in love with You, and not let my past drag me down like it has been here lately. God, you can make all things new, and i think it's time to finally let go, forgive and forget. I can't do it alone so, I'm asking You to be with me. My journey through this life hasn't been that fantastic. Until, You put me in my family and I can't thank You enough for the joy You've put in my life these past 2 years.

I hold on to the past too much, and I know that it's just so hard to let go. My past HAS been redeemed and forever I AM free. Sometimes I feel like I'm on the right track and then I get off of it, and it's so hard to get back on. I've been off and I haven't got back on, I know I need and I'm trying so hard.

God, I lay everything down at Your cross, You can take all my problems and lift the burden off my shoulders. There are so many Godly people in my life that I know I can talk to, but it's so hard to get it out. I need to learn to open my heart.

I'm letting you make all things new, and I'm not holding back, It's time to be on fire.

Be still

I decided to do something new. It's not a lot of writing but I think it speaks for itself. Enjoy!

Serving Others

I've always wanted to serve God and others but, you have to admit it is hard. We are so in love with ourselves that we don't take the time to do what is right and serve others. I've learnt that we have to get over ourselves in order to do what's right. God loves us, that's a fact and He wants us to do what's right. So, I think that we all need to take the time every morning and pray to God that we can get over ourselves and do what He want's us to do for him. I pray every morning, do you?

Brock Meadows 3/3/05 to 1/31/08.

The Meadow's Family has touched me in so many ways I don't think I could ever understand why God brought me to the city of Marietta, but the more i think about the more I'm starting to understand that it's for reasons I never would believe. When I met the Meadow's I knew that there was something special about them, and though they suffered a loss many people would simply turn their back on God and ask why, why did you do this to my family. The Meadow's didn't turn away from God in fact I'm pretty sure they got closer to God.

As I think about the Meadows and the loss they have had. I always thought that I've lost stuff and people didn't care about me or that God didn't even care about me but, I will admit that I was VERY wrong . The Meadow's have touched my life , and have showed me that through all our loses and trials that God is still there and he always will me and that he cares about me. It's okay to grieve everyone does grieves in there own way. The Meadow's are very special people to me and I love them dearly. I have learnt so much from the time I've known them and I'm grateful for every second of the time I've known them. Even though I never had the chance to meet Brock Meadows, but from all the wonderful stories I've heard about him I feel like I have known him at least a little. He's going to be with his family again , Brock knows that and the rest of the Meadow's do too. He's probably smiling down on his parents and siblings right now, that sure wouldn't surprise me.

During all their grief the Meadow's found out the we're expecting to have a baby, but with all the joy in having a new born a round they new it would bring grief, just because Brock was only 2 when he passed, so they still had memory's of him as a new born. Brock's story has touched so many people's life, including mine.

The Meadow's had a precious baby girl Named Lila Jane, she's the cutest I've ever seen! (Truth is I didn't know Meadow's came in girl considering, Nita has had 4 boys.) I love it every time I see Lila's big bothers with her I get goose bumps they love that baby girl with all their heart, just as the loved Brock when he came home from the hospitals. (You can see the Precious Gift from go here http://nitameadows.blogspot.com/2009/11/welcome-lila-jane.html)

The Meadow's have been truly blessed even with all the grief you can read all of The Meadow's story of grief, joy, and forgiveness story here: nitameadows.blogspot.com

With all the love I have I truly thank the Meadow's for all the thing's they've done and all the lives they have touched. I love you all so much!

Man I need to Blog

As you can see blogging hasn't been one of my top things but I thought I'd leave a word of encouragement today:
“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
Phil 4:19

Questions?

Do you ever sit around and wonder whats going to happen next? I know I do. Sometimes I'm just like God whats going to happen next? Does it show by the way I act that I'm a child of God? God showed me to just go with it and that if he wanted it to happen then it would.
When I was in Sunday School this morning we were talking about test and one of the questions was, Would you want God to test you, why or why not? What are some of the questions you would want to be asked? Here are some of the questions i thought of,

1. Does the way i dress reflect God?
2. Am I living my WHOLE life for Jesus Christ?
3. Am i walking for God
4. What plans does God have for me?
5. Do i witness enough?

I know I want have the answers to these questions until I'm face to face with My God!

Have you ever had doubts that God wasn't really there? If you have, then don't doubt God, he is there even in the smallest things, and if you believe in him he will show you that he is there with you for everything! There were times when i had doubts and i now regret it I know that God is my Lord and Savior and he is with me where ever i go i have no reason to doubt him now I KNOW for a fact that he is there!!

I know that times can get rough believe me i have had my ups and downs but that does NOT stop me from loving God as much as I do!

I want you all to know that you can be as close to God as I am am all you have to do is pray and ask God to forgive you for all your sins and that you believe that he gave his life for you and your sins and live your life for him! its that simple!
